About me

Hello my name is Jerry W. Willis – (the 'W' is to distinguish my name on the internet). There are millions of Willises in this country and lots of Jerry Willises! 

In my former life I was a project manager, systems analyst  and systems designer for major U.S. corporations including Embarq, Sprint, IBM, American Airlines and Kerr-McGee corporation.  I always loved understanding and documenting new systems and explaining how they interact and work.  Now I am doing the same type of work in my new life as an author and motivational speaker!    

I am married to an Oracle Applications Consultant who specializes in multi-national company implementations. 

I have a daughter who lives in Lexington, KY (formerly lived in Frankfort, IL,a Chicago suburb) who is a self-employed Event Manager. She has 10 years experience working for Oracle applications consultant firms and planning private parties. She has my granddaughter who is a very sharp and wonderful little girl! 

I have a son who lives in Columbus, Ohio who works in applications development and my daughter-in-law-to-be does also. He has my grandson who is a very sharp, loving and fun little boy! 

So my whole family is in the computer systems field. 

About 10-15 years ago as the kids got through college and out on their own I began to feel the strong need to write this book. It feels like the most important thing I can do with the rest of my life to leave something to my loved ones and others to tell them some significant things I have learned about living the good life and being happy. 

I now have the time to work on this project and it is exciting, energizing and fun!
